Reducing Stress Through Meditation

The scientific community has recently been exploring the use of meditation as a healing modality. Join Nirav Sheth, a long-time meditator as he discusses the extraordinary effect of meditation to reduce stress-related responses, improve concentration, and enhance clarity of thought and mental equilibrium. He will also present a simple, time-tested, ancient, and effective meditation technique. There will be a short meditation sitting as well. Join Nirav for this engaging and lively lecture.

Bio:

Most recently Nirav Sheth served as General Manager and Senior Marketing Director at Smiths Medical. He is also the Founder and President of Stratosphere, LLC, a business, Life strategy and marketing consulting firm.  Prior to that he has over 20 years of experience at Medtronic, one of the world's largest medical device companies, including leadership roles in strategy, marketing, program management and engineering. Nirav has a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He has 10 patents and 11 publications in scientific journals.

Nirav has been conducting meditation classes at Smiths Medical, Medtronic and other venues in the Minnesota area as well as in different parts of the country for 10 years. He has been practicing meditation for over 15 years. He lives with his wife and two children in the Minneapolis area.
