Program Description

Event Details

Learn from second-generation beekeeper Cathy Wolko about why she became a beekeeper and how to become one yourself! Cathy will share all of the basics, from what tools and supplies you'll need, where to place a hive, what to plant in your garden, and what to expect in your first and second season beekeeping. She will also provide you with resources to support you in your beekeeping journey!

PLEASE NOTE:

  • You must be age 12 & up to participate
  • You may only register two people
  • Due to overwhelming interest in our workshops, we are asking anyone registered for multiple workshops to choose (1) as their top choice, while being put on the Waiting List for all others. This ensures that more people get to enjoy the workshops the day of the Maker Fair, while also guaranteeing those already registered a chance to participate in their first choice!
  • To be able to participate on the day of the Maker Fair, you must be present at Board Room 2 by 2:55 PM. If you are not present by this time, your seat will be given to the next available person on the Waiting List.
